IN AUSTRALIA!!

HI everyone!
it's 11:44 am on THURSDAY morning.. yup.. I skipped a whole day.. so weird! I don't have much time but I made it safely after FOURTEEN HOURS and another two on a "put put"plane as my new aussie friends called the bumpiest ride I've ever been in. IT IS GORGEOUS HERE! Think country meets jungle... yeah.. parrots everywhere and a pretty black and white bird called magpie...lol whistles up a storm around 6 am.. That's when I was up this morning by the way... yup. It's chilly here.. not freezing just chilly and freezing at night.. but it should start getting warmer in September. I have two roommates or "flatmates"Sean a Canadian and Pat a true Australian with some travels under his belt. Both are sweat as can be and Pat and I already cooked dinner together (Rice, Snags or sausages and beans :) Lars my German CA or RA is the "college" or apartment/hall overseer. Sweet as well and very tall. He lives downstairs and really is the person to go to for an extra cup of sugar, he has it all. I have all my groceries, thanks to Steven, neighbor across the way and I've also had my first cup of coffee or a frappe from a local coffee shop thanks to Matty, he lives off campus and has a pug we call him Piggy because he acts smells and looks like one... really cute. I'm half way settled and I LOVE IT! I'm so thrilled to be here but still can't believe it! Rob the other flatmate won't be in for a while but we're still waiting for two more! SO EXCITED!
