Sunday Night Fun!
HI all!
Just got back from watching Hellboy II with the gang! (same one as Monday Night, Eric, Dani and Adam)
it was good! loved the fight scenes... but I think I was the only one. Eric likes comedy and Dani and Adam didn't seem to interested but it was AWESOME! :) We first went to the Red Rooster since Eric was starving... chilled for a bit then went to Wollys (kind of like their Stater Brothers of Publix for gramps!) I bought some No Dairy No Eggs No Yeast No Gliten NO FUN animal cracker cookies.. but they were actually pretty good... AND the animals were koalas and roos! :) Then we discovered we still had an hour to kill so went back to Adams place and played UNO! I won the first round then Adam. The biggest part of the night was DRIVING! yup Eric's car is an automatic and he let me drive! (no worries hardly anyone is out in Lismore on Sunday.. actually hardly anyone is out in Lismore EVER!)
so I got to drive a bit! how weird that the shift stick was on my left hand side the turn blinker on my right and the seat on the right of the car as well! but we managed!:) Toodles!

Sat. Night
Hey!
So I went out on Saturday.. just Kay and I (she's ALSO Canadian) and Sean's (my flatmate) girlfriend! She's so cute and a blast! On Friday we were soo bored!! It was raining and nothing to do so we decided to rent a movie and color our hair.. (it's a TEMPORARY color so it comes off) just doing girly things. We had Dani do it for us and she was excellent! The next night (since our partners in crime Sean and Dani were doing their own thing) Kay and I decided to strut our new dos and head into town for some DANCING! We danced the night away took a crowded cab full of uni students back home and called it a night! Good times! PS. Girl in Blue is ANG! my other flatmate! She's from Wisconsin! Toodles!

Movie Night!
Hey!
Just got back from a movie night with Dani, Adam, and Eric! I had a kickbutt workout at Fight Club with "boxer" (the canadian champ), took the shuttle bus back because the hill is scary at night AND alone... which ended up being a bad idea since the bus makes a round by going down to the square and a few other stops before going back to Orion (my dorm) oy soo that took me 15 min out of the way. When I got back had to quickly shower and get ready... we went to the "Red Rooster" for dinner (Kind of like KFC but better AND healthier) then watched "Baby Mamma" ... we were the only ones in the theater... FUN! Alrighty .. Goodnight!

Two years!
I just wanted to share with everyone that I've been with the best guy for two years! EEEK! It's a bummer we're so far away but we'll be having HEAPS of pictures and stories to tell since he's been invited to go on "top secret" drum corps in SWITZERLAND and SOUTH AFRICA! How cool is that? not gonna lie I was a little jealous since he get to go on adventures for FREE! but Australia's still cooler ;P KK Talk to you soon

Night out!
Mt Warning ]
It was beautiful to hear the sound of the forest as I was walking back.. you should look up whipbird calls, they're soo cool! The wind was ROARING too! it sounded like a loud waterfall or a mad sea. It made the old trees creak like a door to a haunted house. You could hear the small trickle of water as you walked by the creeks . A few turkeys were foraging , they don't look the same as the turkeys back home, they have a fan like tail that goes side to side rather than up and down (like the tail of a fish vs the tail of a whale) In all it was a beautiful experience, the sun was rising here as it was setting back home, it was incredible!
Mt Warning (Wollumbin)
Hello readers!
How's everyone doing this Sunday? :) We'll I FINALLY went on my sunrise walk! and let me tell you.. I felt like I could do anything after the hike! It was originally going to take us 3 hours to hike up but.. lemme just tell you how the schedule went.
12:45 AM woke up. Drank some tea. Got Dressed
1:00 AM standing outside FREEZING winds waiting on bus
1:25 AM bus arrives (this time a BIG charter bus for what? 13 people? It WAS appreciated on the way back though)
3:00 AM arrive at the base of Mt Warning
According to the sign only "fit hikers" should attempt this walk.. but I saw a family with two kids walking up so I figured it can't be that bad.. WRONG .. kids can be considered "fit" since they have boundless energy. It was supposed to take us ALL 3 hours since we had some fast walkers

and some slow ones... but by a quarter of the way into the hike we had spread out a little bit that we went in three groups.. the fast the normal and the slow. I was in the fast.. yeah I know shocker hey? but I thought what the heck.. I'll take a challenge.. and sure it enough it was. I was the only girl in my group with four other boys. We were scaling rocks .. making huge lunges to take steps up and down then at the last 50 meters or so.. the Mountain is practically vertical so there's a chain attached to mountain so you can haul yourself up.. crazy?
a little. But I was the first girl to the top! For me that felt like my little Everest and we made it in two hours! Now what though? yeeeeeeeeah.. We were freazing!
the sun wasn't coming out for another hour and a half or so.. but boy once it did it was glorious! and once there was a little more light I realized that the "cloud" going all the way across the horizon was no cloud at all but the ocean! Needless to say it was beautiful and I'm glad I did it :) Enjoy the view! Ps.. for those who've heard of Fern Gully: the last rainforest... Mt Warning is in that animated film.. thought it was some good trivia.

Power OUT!
UGG! Power went out AGAIN!! that's the 8th time here! This time it was ALL over the Sea Shore Cities in Australia!! crazy! Today was a great day! I had my presentation for my creative arts class. We (four people) had to memorize four songs and make up dances for them. We had Proud Mary, Saints, Blue Moon and Twist and Shout. THEN! I went to fight club with Kay, Angie and "boxer" (she was Ontarios boxing champ two years ago... whew..don't mess with that girl) All of them Canadian of course since I seem to have all my classes with the Canadians doing the Southern Cross Teaching program. We worked up a sweat in that class! good laughs... good workout.. good times! kk.. gnite! ~Evie ;)

Meebun-bia
Hi!
Alrighty there's a few explanations that go along with the pictures below. Ok Dokey the trip was three days, two nights long. I had to bring my own sleeping bag, water, warm clothes, food and a small stove to be shared with three other girls. If you have never seen a camping stove before I think it is the niftiest thing ever! one piece goes here the other there, a little round thing goes in the middle with fuel, light it up and vuala! you have FIRE! plus three cooking pans! all in a little 1 pound container! :) ok, from the top we have a little Possum! yup the first night he decided to check out what all the rokus was about and a few unfortunate souls left their packs open ...ooops cuz this little guy got in it took a few sandwich bags and bailed! Then you'll see I'm making a funny face at the "water" bottle... well that was actually "tea" ... the water basin we filled our water bottles with somehow gets Eucalyptus leaves in it ... tinting it a light brown yellowish color.... the taste wasn't all bad really but I know now why koalas are always sleeping! that stuff is makes you drowsy! Ah! bones! well, this camping site is on land donated by local farmers, of course they still let their cattle roam free (ps. the cows here don't look the same either.. they are skinny cows!) so of course we had poo poo land mines to watch out for. Anyways, on the second day we had a navigation exercise where we had to find 14 markers around the camp grounds... normally taking 2-3 hours.. we did it in about 2.5! around the 9th marker we had this little lovely surprise! hopefully it died of natural causes....since this is "sasquash" country as they call it. The following pictures are of the sunset! beautiful hey? no clouds so we didn't have the dramatic purples and oranges you usually see out here but meh.. still nice! The tongue color was caused by that fruit you see.. one of the camp guides found a prickly pear fruit and we all had a little taste! not bad but he said not to eat the seeds they were a quick way to get to the toilet. (unfortunately a few did :/ not me though! ) And those poor guys had to use the "open view toilet" shown as well. The next picture is one of MANY high ropes courses I had to do.. oy still have bruises from that! The next pic will show three blokes .. from left to right that's "chicken", Sam and Steve. Chicken and Sam were our camp guides and Steve is my instructor! They were all great guys just up for some good times! The last picture was my favorite activity.. we climbed the biggest tree!! Finally something I felt really comfortable with! here are the last few pics of Meebun-bia.. my campsite.. bruises.. and my favorite.. Danis face after our FIRST hike.. priceless.. :) Ps. Dad, SOOO glad we bought those hiking boots way back when... I know I never used them before but man... they were lifesavers on this trip! thanks! ~yvonne
ALSO!! LET ME JUST SAY DANI IS THE BEST ACTRESS EVER!!!! there was a game of "Murderer" as we were hiking back down the last day and sure enough Dani was killed first and she made the most dramatic death ever! (I thought she was having an Asthma attack ... I was already looking for the first aid kit before I realized she was JOKING!) ugg.. could have killed her!
